Senior Parking Stickers 

The Senior Center has Senior Parking Stickers that can be purchased by Amherst Seniors who are 65 years of age or older for $25.00 a year. Parking is available up to four hours at a time in the Boltwood garage and in the twelve spaces against the fence east of the Ann Whalen Apartments at 33 Kellogg Avenue. Parking with the sticker is allowed between 8:00 am and 5 pm on weekdays.  Additional parking is located across North Pleasant Street behind the CVS pharmacy.


Pioneer Valley Transit Authority (PVTA)

UMass Transit operates the PVTA bus routes in the Amherst area. For fee information see the UMass Transit website.

PVTA Senior Bus

Door-to-door transportation for people aged 60 and older is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm. To schedule trips, call 1-866-277-7741 or 413-739-7436 two to five days prior to the trip date.  Senior Fare Free Tuesday Cards are available at the Senior Center, senior ID also required. Senior IDs can be obtained at 206 Maple St. Holyoke 413-536-0694. 


PVTA ADA PARATRANSIT VANS

 ADA Paratransit Service is for individuals with a disability that prevents them from using the accessible fixes route bus. ADA rides can be booked seven days a week and holidays between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
If you require a Personal Care Attendant (PCA) that person rides for free. You may also bring one traveling companion who must have the pickup and drop off location as the paratransit rider. A companion pays the same fare as the paratransit traveler.
You must apply for ADA service and be determined eligible under the guidelines of the American with Disabilities Act. To apply for ADA service call Iris Lawrence at 1-413-781-7882 X 214 and leave your name and phone number and she will contact you for an appointment.


Van tickets can be purchased at the Senior Center, Monday through Friday.
