Details: This is a seasonal position that offers an hourly rate of $15.00

Camp operation dates: June 26th through August 11th, 2023

Camp Counselor orientation (Paid): June 17 & 18, 2023

Camp move-in/ set up: June 26, 2023

If you are an outgoing, enthusiastic team player and enjoy working with children. The Amherst Recreation Program is hiring Day Camp Counselors to work cooperatively and productively with a Team of Counselors to create an exciting positive, safe, educational camp experience.

Your position will be to assist Camp Directors in implementing summer day camp programming and Creating a positive and safe environment. Plan, create, and implement interesting and exciting educational and recreational activities for your group of kiddos. Our camp participants are 5 y/o - 12 y/o and divided into groups based on age. Along with the other two counselors in your group will be in charge of 15-25 campers.
