Welcome to the Amherst Police Department website! The Amherst Police Department is a team of 47 sworn and 14 civilian employees including those in the Communications Center. The Success of the Amherst Police Department is due both to the strong commitment of our employees and to the support they receive from the community. We value the trust placed in us by the community that we serve, and we will be diligent in our efforts to uphold that trust. We continue to identify new and innovative ways to address crime and quality of life concerns and we welcome input from the community to assist us towards that goal.
