About the Self Certification Checklist
An important part of the Rental Permitting application process is the Self-Certification Checklist. This checklist and associated resources are included in the Rental Permit Application. The following is a listing, with associated links to review prior to completing the application:
Zoning Bylaw: The Town of Amherst Zoning Bylaw can regulate many aspects of land, buildings and their use. Compliance with the Zoning Bylaw includes parking management in accordance with parking plans, proper maintenance of parking areas, no inoperable vehicles on the property and adherence to any conditions of land use permits. Exterior Conditions: This section pertains to the maintenance and management to the exterior of a building and land. Compliance shall include provisions for snow and ice removal, proper maintenance of building and site lighting, maintaining secure and weather-tight building envelopes, appropriate trash and recycling management and adherence to the upholstered furniture policy.
